Seeding Logic - How this bracket placed teams into seeds
After all the 1st place teams are placed in order, the following teams were placed into seeds based on the following logic. To understand how this works, the system has an 'Ideal Seed', which represents the seed the system would want to place the team into based on the specified logic (Initial-seed-based or Performance-based). It shows the team the system chose to place into that seed along with that team's actual seed, and the other teams available to be placed into that position. The other candidate teams are teams that finished pool play at the same place, and had not already been placed. After that, the 'Number of matches before potential replay' represents how many matches can be played before teams from the same pool will replay eachother. The system seeks to maximize this to prevent replays. You can see the entire placement process below:
